Patient Admission and Discharge Process – Ghiassi Hospital

Submission of the inpatient admission order by the attending physician to the Admission Unit.
Presentation of national ID card, birth certificate, insurance booklet, and supplementary insurance referral (if the patient is covered).
Checking the availability of beds in the relevant ward to ensure bed occupancy status.
Recording patient information, obtaining consent, and creating the patient file.
Guiding the patient to the cashier for deposit payment.
Issuance of a companion card for the patient’s attendant.
Providing hygiene and surgical kits to the patient (if the patient is scheduled for surgery).
Guiding and escorting the patient to the relevant ward by the reception/welcome staff.

Patient admission order issued by the attending physician
Collection of the patient’s medical file and registration of admission in the system by the ward clerk
Transfer of the patient’s file to the discharge/admission unit by the ward clerk
Completion of discharge procedures and notification of the relevant ward by the discharge unit officer
Guidance of the patient to the discharge unit for completing administrative and financial procedures
