Ghiasi Charity Hospital is located on the southwestern outskirts of Greater Tehran, in the densely populated Valiasr Town area, close to major southern and southwestern highway routes. The hospital covers an area of approximately 20,000 square meters with a total built-up area of 17,000 square meters across five floors, including a basement.
This hospital is a non-profit medical center operating under the supervision of the High Organization of Endowments and Charitable Affairs of Iran. It is supported by benefactors and charitable donors, and all revenues are allocated to covering hospital operational costs and charitable services in accordance with the intentions of the late benefactor. The surrounding area is connected to densely populated residential regions, where many residents are low-income or in need of accessible healthcare services.
The establishment of this charitable institution dates back to the will of the late Haj Ali Naghi Ghiasi in 1952 (1331 SH), who dedicated one-third of his estate to creating a charitable foundation in the Naghieh Abad and Vafsnard area, which is the current location of the hospital.
In 1958 (1337 SH), following his passing and in accordance with his will, an orphanage was first established. Later, in 1971 (1350 SH), the executors of the will constructed a medical center on a 20,000-square-meter land generously donated by the late Mrs. Ghiasi. This center, with a built-up area of 1,200 square meters, was designed to provide essential healthcare services to the local community and residents of the Valiasr Town area.
Due to the increasing demand for medical services and the lack of specialized healthcare facilities in the region, the board of directors decided to expand the center by upgrading it into a hospital. This transformation was successfully completed in 1998 (1378 SH) after obtaining the necessary legal approvals. During this process, the hospital was also authorized to operate with a capacity of 200 inpatient beds.
